Arrow Bridge Club is EBU affiliated and plays Duplicate Bridge. The club was formed over twenty five years ago. We meet at the Ten Acres Meeting Rooms. The rooms , which are attached to Ten Acres School, have good parking facilities. Our membership is diverse, coming all over the area and from all age groups. We have a friendly atmosphere with a good standard of Bridge. At the moment we are a small club but new members are very welcome .If you don't have your own partner ,no problem as on normal club evenings we operate the Host System. This means that each week there is a "Host" member to play with you, if needed. The exceptions are on the Diary Page, so please check. All we ask is that you come a bit earlier than usual so that we can accommodate you. The weekly scores are worked out and the top third receive EBU Black Master Points ,which can be registered with the EBU The meetings start at 7.30pm and finish about 10.30pm, playing about 27 boards each week .If you decide to come along the cars in the car park don't all belong to Club members, a Slimming Club meets at the same time. We take part in the Wednesday Simultaneous Pairs, which is a national competition where all clubs play the same hands on the same day, this gives each pair a national position among the three thousand or so pairs that play. This can be quite good for the ego or not! There are other simultaneous pairs competitions played throughout the year. We also play in The Worcestershire Club Championship Pairs, and has played in the Garden City Teams Competition. The building has
level ramped access and is wheelchair friendly. We already have a member
that uses a wheelchair, so its tested and works! There is a disabled toilet
. We all pay a modest weekly subscription which includes a hot drink during the evening. The club operates a no smoking policy in the playing room.
